CNFA's Farmer-to-Farmer program, part of USAID's global John Ogonowski Farmer-to-Farmer Program, provides opportunities for U.S. farmers, agribusiness professionals and other agriculturists to help contribute to democracy-building and the development of a market economy by sharing their expertise with aspiring entrepreneurs across the globe. American volunteers travel to countries in 3 regions -- East Africa, Southern Africa, and Europe, Caucasus & Central Asia to share their knowledge in high value agricultural crop production, food processing, farm financial management and business planning, marketing, cooperative/organizational development, livestock production, banking and finance, and rural credit. All volunteer assignment expenses are covered by CNFA®. Assignments are typically 16-19 days long and seek U.S. citizens or green card holders with extensive professional experience in agriculture who are eager to work with program participants in Moldova, Georgia, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Mozambique, Angola or Malawi.
