CNFA Appoints Veronica Letelier as VP, Program Development

March 11, 2010, Washington, D.C. CNFA announced today the appointment of Veronica Letelier as Vice President for Program Development, effective March 8, 2010.

Based in Washington, D.C., Veronica will be responsible for implementing CNFA’s program development strategy, including knowledge generation and management and expanding collaboration and partnerships with U.S. and country based partners to implement agriculture and food security projects.

In addition to her background in agriculture and animal science, Veronica also has extensive experience in new business development, program design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation. She managed the RAISE PLUS Set Aside IQC for Weidemann Associates and designed the implementation of the Farmer-to-Farmer Special Program task order under the IQC.

Veronica received an Agronomist Degree from the Panamerican School of Agriculture at Zamorano, Honduras and received her Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and her Masters in Animal Science – Value Added Technologies at Kansas State University. She and her family own a farm in Comayagua, Honduras that produces mangoes, guayaba, lemons, coconuts and several value added products.

CNFA is also pleased to announce that Kathleen Doherty, formerly Senior Vice President for Program Development, has become a Senior Advisor to CNFA. Kathleen has been with CNFA since 2005, specializing in marketing and increasing market access.
