Sara Stribling
Associate Director, Program Development
Sara Stribling is an international development specialist with over seven years of professional experience managing proposals and backstopping programs focused on agricultural productivity, food security, and nutrition. As associate director, Program Development, Stribling is responsible for leading proposal development processes from start to finish, from identifying funding opportunities to providing compliance and quality control support to her team. She also assists in managing CNFA’s internal business development protocols, overseeing the incorporation of new tools and resources, and gathering business intelligence for the organization.
Stribling first joined CNFA in 2018 as a Global Program Support intern, providing assistance to CNFA’s Ethiopia and Pakistan portfolios before transitioning to the Program Development team in 2019, first as a consultant and then as a program development coordinator. Over the course of her career at CNFA, she has held progressively expanding roles, providing increasing levels of support to the program development and program implementation teams. Prior to her role with CNFA, Stribling served as an Urban Agriculture Extension Agent with the Peace Corps in Senegal.
Stribling holds a dual Master of Arts in International Affairs and Natural Resources and Sustainable Development from American University and the University for Peace in Costa Rica. She also holds a dual Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Music from Wheaton College, Massachusetts. Stribling is fluent in English and proficient in Spanish and Wolof.
