John H. Costello

Director Emeritus

John H. Costello is a senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in international foreign policy, economic development, and program management. He most recently served for 29 years as the president and co-founder of CNFA.

Costello began his career in marketing and management with the Eastman Kodak Corporation and continued in the field of international development in a number of senior project management and executive positions. Prior to joining CNFA, Costello served as the chief executive officer of the U.S.-based Helen Keller Intl.

In addition, Costello served as a consultant to a number of governments and international organizations, including serving as chairman of the United States Advisory Committee on Voluntary Foreign Aid from 1988 to 1991, where he played a critical role in the development of U.S. international public policy. In the early 1990s, he served as a member of the Advisory Committee on International Economic Policy for the U.S. Department of State.

Costello is a graduate of Utica College of Syracuse University.
