Digital Agricultural Solutions
Deploying digital tools that improve market efficiency and expand commercial reach.
CNFA integrates digital technologies into agriculture to improve transaction efficiency, expand access to market intelligence, and connect producers and buyers. These digital solutions are designed to strengthen commercial operations. They are not standalone technology projects, but tools embedded within functioning market networks.
In Rwanda, we partnered with digital agriculture service providers to build the M-Lima platform with marketplace dashboards, cooperative management tools, and input ordering platforms that connect smallholders to agrodealers and buyers in real time. In Burkina Faso, the M-FARM platform disseminates weather, extension resources, market price, and early warning information to value chain actors—including in hard-to-reach regions. Across our programs, we deploy GIS-based mapping of input networks, biometric ID systems linking farmers to formal banking, and blockchain-based traceability systems that support export compliance. These tools reduce costs, improve transparency, and create the data infrastructure that agribusinesses and financial institutions need to operate and invest with confidence.
