Trade and Markets
Expanding market access for American agricultural products.
CNFA opens and expands markets for American agricultural commodities and goods by removing trade barriers, building export-ready supply chains, and connecting U.S. companies to buyers in high-growth economies. We work across the trade ecosystem—from regulatory harmonization and food safety education to targeted business to business matchmaking, trade missions, and export promotion—to create the conditions for free and fair trade.
Our trade facilitation work has delivered measurable returns: a new market for American milled rice in West Africa, $3.8 million in agricultural product sales to Azerbaijan for 13 companies from 10 U.S. states, a 292% ROI on trade fair investments for Georgian agribusiness clients, and the first-ever high-quality cocoa exports from Côte d’Ivoire to U.S. chocolatiers. We also help build the commercial infrastructure—cold chains, packhouses, traceability systems—that unlock trade and investment opportunities. Our work generates direct commercial wins for American businesses while building self-sustaining market relationships that outlast our programs.
